Botanical Name: Urtica dioica Origin(s): Albania, Bulgaria, Poland

Also known as Common Stinging Nettle. Traditionally used for ailments ranging from arthritis and anemia to hay fever and high blood pressure.

Tea: Steep 1 Tablespoon in hot water for 5 - 10 minutes

Infusions: Combine with carrier oil or honey

Aromatherapy: Add to water bath or potpourri

Tinctures: Soak in suitable medium for several weeks (faster with use of double boiler)

Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
